We bought two horses at the Doncaster Sales.
Orchard Road is a six year old by Street Cry who was the impressive winner of his bumper in April. He has a strong black type pedigree and has schooled over hurdles. He seems to go on any ground and should be a classy addition to the yard. He will race for Hadrians Warriors. View his pedigree here: http://www.dbsauctions.com/pdf/dbs/271/137.pdf
Revocation (pictured) is by a sire I love, Revoque. A five year old he has solid form in bumpers, being third twice, including last time at Towcester where he was beaten two lengths by Devenish Island who had previously beaten our next time out winner Simarthur. He should improve for a summer at grass and looks very much as if he will make a staying chaser in time. He was bought for £25,000 and is for sale. It is Perth races tomorrow evening and we start with two in the three mile handicap hurdle. Ryton Runner is better on good ground and should improve on his last run. Bescot Springs will appreciate any ease in the going and has a set of visors on.
In the two mile four handicap chase Shooting Times runs over a trip a little shorter than ideal. He has been schooled extensively this past week. Monsoon Music is stepping up in trip and is another who would be happy on softer ground.
Wild Geese posted a career best over the extended three mile trip last time and he is capable of more improvement.
Two in the maiden hurdle with both Clondaw Knight and Mumgos Debut stepping up in trip.
Morning Time was running a career best last time when he was brought down by a faller and he has every chance tomorrow if he can replicate that form. Crackerjack Lad is returning from a broken splint bone and has schooled well this week.
Finally in the last Momkinzain is dropping back to two miles; we have kept him fresh at home and he seems in good heart.
