The ethos at Arlary is to produce strong, fit, athletic and content horses.

Gallops

Using a wide variety of facilities we give the horses a broad conditioning fitness programe then add stamina, strength and speed training.

  • Main gallop is a 6 furlong woodchip gallop that rises over 160 feet
  • Second 5 furlong woodchip gallop
  • Grass gallops which include 4 furlongs straight and mile and half round gallop
  • Two circular sand canters
  • Many acres of pastureland for hillwork and change of scenery
  • Quiet country roads and lanes for conditioning roadwork

Schooling 

Schooling is used to increase the agility, suppleness and skill of each horse.

  • All weather schooling arena
  • Sand schooling ring with Easyfix hurdles and fences
  • Chase fences, open ditches, mini fences, hurdles
  • Many tyre fences and cross country fences
  • Starting stalls 
  • Specialist team with racing, showjumping and eventing backgrounds

Yard

The family owned yard has grown in size but still has the ability to give each horse individual attention. 

  • Range of brick built stables with a variety of outlooks
  • Loddon stabling in large airy barns
  • Quattro rubber flooring in all the stables
  • Four horsewalkers
  • Isolation yard
  • Ample paddocks for daily turn out, and holiday grazing
  • Weighing machine
  • Fleet of three horseboxes: 2, 3 and 6 stall

Therapy

All athletes need the best support to perform at a high level. Each horse is given individual assesment and then appropriate therapy.
