Mumgos Debut Wins At Carlisle

Mumgos Debut got his chasing career back on track with a nice win over two and a half miles this afternoon. He is a little awkward at some of his fences but this win will have done his confidence a lot of good and he should be able to keep the progress going while the ground is on the soft side.

Ryalex is also back on his upwards curve and his third place over a trip that is on the short side was a return to form for him. His jumping is also a little erratic but as he settles and relaxes he should improve.

There is plenty of improvement to come from Rising Marienbard as he strengthens, and also from Dr Hooves who had a rough passage through his race. Spoils Of War did not jump at all well and we will ditch the headgear next time.

It is a nice initiative of the Jockey Club racecourses that they give the stable staff of the winner a photograph as a prize. Along with the owner receiving a photograph, magic tv with the race replay, glasses and decent prize money it makes being a winner a great experience.
