One For Arthur Wins The Grand National

So I am cheating a bit by writing this the day after the Grand National but, it has been the most incredible twenty four hours.

The confidence behind Arthur was borne out with a confident ride from Derek, done the old way of hunting round for a circuit, then getting into a competitive position crossing the Melling Road. Hitting the front at the last and staying on up that long run in was carried out to the letter and it is incredible that it is the horse that we train, One For Arthur, who crossed the line in front, making history for himself and for us.

Everyone has been so kind with messages, texts, and calls to congratulate us, and I am immensely proud of the team here who have produced Arthur to the minute. To everyone, thank you, to Debs and Belinda who have put their faith in all of us, to Derek who gave him the ride of his life, but most of all, of course, to Arthur who has put himself in the history books.

Just back from the Grand National. Well done Lucinda. I remember standing with you watching a Scottish Grand National many years ago. You didn't even have a runner in the race that day. Now to not only have a runner in the grand national but to actually win it is some achievement. Congratulations to you and one for Arthur again.
