Catchthemoonlight Wins At Carlisle

What a super mare Catchthemoonlight has turned in to and she continued her consistent ways by winning over two and a half miles at Carlisle this afternoon. Ridden by her daily work rider, Blair, she stayed on with determination to win by a head. Owner Dig In Racing was well represented including Fiona and John Urwin who only joined up at the start of the week. There should be lots of summer cheer for the mare this summer.

Our two runners at Haydock were not so fortunate. Both Kilbree Chief and Mumgos Debut have had long seasons and possibly ran a little flat. They will be freshened up before seeing the track again.

I was at Musselburgh to see Jaimie and Ailsa receive their grooms award for One For Arthur's National win. Jaimie insisted that Ailsa accompanied her as Ailsa is Arthur's groom at home; making sure that he is groomed off, and does his physio stretches each day. Both girls deserve a lot of credit, and it was super that Jaimie's mother and sisters were flown down from the Isle Of Skye to see her receive her prize.
