Scu and I were at the Cheltenham Sales looking for more horses for next season. It was an interesting sale, and the prices reflected the quality of a couple of stand out lots, including a beautiful Milan four year old. With five lots above £200,000 the market for the right horse is strong. We did not buy, however, it is good to get a guide on the prices and quality on offer.
Back at home, the team continues to work hard on the horses who are in training and we have two runners tomorrow on the first day of the Scottish National meeting.
Sammy B has been progressing nicely and he takes a step up in class in the three mile novice hurdle. He should be fine on the better ground, and if he can continue to improve then he has a good chance to bring up a four timer.
Forest Des Aigles won nicely at Kelso and while it will be harder to dominate tomorrow he remains a good type of novice chaser.
