Rasen And Young Horses Including Two For Sale

A flat run from Sky Khan today as he was too keen early then did not pick up as he can, this is not his true showing and I am sure that we can get him back to form in the next few months.

At home, Thomas Kendall and John Johnston were in to see Run Rocky Run have a jump in the school. This four year old by Vertical Speed continues to grow and should be a nice type for novice hurdles in the autumn. He is pictured with Alex.

We have some really nice new young horses already for next season, including three who arrived last week from Ireland.

Highland Hunter is a four year old grey by Lie Forrit's sire, Subtle Power. We watched him win his first start at Ballindenisk point to point, and being from the family of Ebony Jane he has plenty of stamina in his pedigree. He looks an exciting youngster for the yard.

Prince Dundee is by Stowaway and from the famil;y of Nick Dundee and Ned Kelly. He had a quiet run round a four year old point to point and Derek sat on him a few weeks ago; he loved him and suggested that we buy him. He is very unfurnished but has a super athletic stride and jumps really well. He needs his summer break, but should be ready for a bumper in October and we think that he will make the grade. He is for sale for £36,000 plus VAT

When Derek was in Ireland he also rode the six year old mare Devito'sgoldengirl who has gradually improved in four runs to win, making all from the front last month. She impressed Derek with her tenacity and she should be ideal for mares races in late summer. She is £18,000 plus VAT and should be a lot of fun for later this year.

Please contact me if you are interested in either Prince Dundee or Devito's and I can give you more information about them.
