Roundup

Our two runners at Newcastle were not impressive; Bescot Springs dropping back in a fast run race, and Star Of Milan being very green and not traveling with the pack as we know that he can. Star is from a late maturing family and will now likely go hunting and point to pointing to give him an education and time to mature.

Scu and I were at the Cheltenham sales where the prices were extraordinary. There were a couple of really good looking horses with form, and competition for them was heated. We loved the grey Martaline four year old Good Man Jim, but at £360,00 he was a bit out of range. However, we are coming home with a smart four year old whose form we know well.

Timesawaiting was second in his point to point to Ask the Tycoon, jumping well but being a little green in the closing stages which was allowable as it was his first run. He is a good 16.2 hands high and with Ask The Tycoon impressing us when winning his bumper at Ayr a few weeks ago we were very keen to acquire Timesawaiting. He is a sensible price and is for sale; give me a call or use the reply form to come and see him.

Steve kindly drove south yesterday to pick up Timesawaiting, who is pictured having a roll in the field today, watched by Kez.
