Pre Hexham

Lots of rain and we had a good morning around the fields at the farm then sprinting up the all weather, while those at Arlary had a couple of canters to warm them up for tomorrow's work day. Pictured is Thepensionfund and Scu cantering up the grass, led by Jack Steel and Lorraine.

We have four runners at Hexham tomorrow starting with Celtic Flames who schooled this morning with Big River. He has his first chase start and should be suited by the track. The heavy going is a bit of an unknown as I feel that he is better on good to soft, but we will see if he handles it tomorrow.

Le Frank is a giant of a horse who is well bred and cruises up our gallops. He has a lot of strengthening still to do and makes his hurdles debut from which he will learn a lot.

Vertigo can be keen in his races and we are dropping back in trip at a track that he won his bumper. He is a slight horse so we would not like the going to be too deep.

Finally, we run Topham Bay who also had a jump this morning. She has run some great races around here and while she will stay three miles in time the two and a half mile rip on his stiff track will be fine for her at this stage.
