It has been an outstanding year for the yard winning the Grand National and we have been very lucky and honoured to be nominated for, and to win some super awards.
Last week in London at the 'St Andrews Day at the Savoy' celebrations with London Scottish I was awarded the Great London Scot award for outstanding achievement, made all the more special as it was presented to me by the Two Golf Widows. It was a great honour to be included in the celebration of Scots and to see funds raised for the Doddie Weir'5 Trust.
On the same evening the Perth Chamber Of Commerce awarded the yard with an outstanding achievement award, making us very proud to be part of the business success in Perth and Kinross.
Next, we headed to Newcastle where the Magic Moments in Northern Racing Awards recognised the whole team connected with One For Arthur; it was another grand event and I apologise again for using the wrong word when I marveled at Derek Fox's nerves of steel. It was a double celebration as Maisie was nominated for the Northern area point to point Magic Moment for her first ride, first win on Badger Foot.
Today we were back in London as guests at the epic Horserace Writers and Photographers Association Derby Awards. Here, along with six hundred others, we celebrated all that is good about horseracing and it was marvelous to be nominated for National Hunt Trainer of the year, and for Belinda and Debs to be nominated for Owner of the Year.
The wonderful journey that we have been taken on by One For Arthur continues.
