Grand Morning Wins At Ayr

We were really pleased with Grand Morning's win in the two mile maiden hurdle this afternoon. It was very deep ground but he rolled on through it up the straight to win by just over a length. He is still inexperienced and continues to mature at home but looks a super type for his owner.

We were also pleased by the other runners; Haul Us In is another backward type but given a great ride by Blair she knuckled down and fairly sprinted after the last to go down by a head. She will improve again for this run and we are pleased that she is showing the ability on the track that she does at home.

Miss Tiggy is a brave mare in many ways and she tried hard over a trip that is on the short side for her. An error two out stopped her in her tracks but she rallied to be fourth. She will have time to recover from this race and should be back over further next time.

Celtic Flames found the combination of deep ground and the bigger fences at Ayr a bit tough, but he galloped all the way home and will have learned more. Mumgos Debut was our only disappointment as he ran 'flat', he has not quite found his form yet this season.

There is an 8am inspection at Ayr tomorrow and if it passes I will add our runners' chances to this page.
