Snow again this morning and we were thankful for the all weather gallops and tenacity of the staff and horses that keep the show on the road. Pictured is Moorstown leading Rivabodiva, Vertigo and the rest of the second lot up the gallops at Kilduff.
We had a brief flirtation with declaring for a soon to be abandoned Carlisle then Scu updated the entry list following our recent runs and handicap changes.
Eugenio was in for his weekly visit and checked over a couple of horses including Tantamount and Celtic Flame who both incurred wounds after their races at Musselburgh but are doing well and should be back in work next week.
Scu and I are heading to Ireland later this week to see a number of four year olds who are yet to run in their point to points. If we particularly like any we will ask Derek to go over and ride them, before seeing them run or buying them privately.
There are sales next week at Cheltenham and some of the ones that we see will be offered there. Annoyingly the date clashes with racing at Kelso for the second year, however, there are a couple of decent types on offer. If you are interested in purchasing a potentially high-class jumper please contact me to discuss your requirements.
