Different Dynamics And Pre Hexham

As we head into May we have a slightly different dynamic to the yard as the number of horses in full training reduces, many starting their holidays, a few retiring. We also start looking for new talent for the yard and with that in mind Derek has been in Ireland for us this week, and we are heading there to the point to points this weekend. The crazy sales season is about to start, more of that next week.

We have a couple of horses to sell in the yard, including shares in the summer hurdler Timesawaiting, pictured. He has ability and will run at Perth this summer with the aim of going chasing in the autumn. Shares are £6,000 then £380 per month, please contact the OFFICE soon to reserve your share. At this time of the year we also say goodbye to some members of staff including Maisie who had her last day today before she starts at Mick Easterby's to have a taste of the flat. Maisie has been a good addition to the team and as well as winning her first race on Badger Foot she struck up a good relationship with a number of the horses including The Banastoir.

The new season starts for us tomorrow at Hexham and we have three runners.

Celtic Flames is stepping up in trip to three miles and while he has won over two, we feel that this ex pointer should stay the extra distance.

Saint Freule was naughty at Perth last time and with Derek back on he takes his chance in the two mile maiden hurdle. He has to run above his handicap mark but he seems in good form at home.

Finally, having his first run in a handicap chase we have Rossamilan. A lovely young horse he is back after a break and starts his summer season chasing tomorrow.
