End Of An Era And Pre Hexham

It was the end of an era today when Badger Foot left for his new permanent loan home with Rachael Maclean. Badger won thirteen times a mix of chases and point to points often giving his jockeys their first ride under rules. He was usually the horse our employees rode in their interviews, he would be the first that they would school and normally the first that they would ride in races. His roll of horour is below. A genuine, kind, gentleman of a horse he had plenty of ability and it has been an honour to have him on the yard for the past seven years. Thank you Badger for being a legend.

We have two young horses tomorrow at Hexham on good ground.

Blue Baton has her second hurdle start over two miles; a filly who will likely need further in time, she should be suited by the stiff track although it is early days in her career.

Rising Marienbard is another with plenty of stamina and while he will be an even better chaser he has the ability to run well tomorrow and should enjoy the conditions.
