Hexham And Stromsholm Preview

We have a busy day tomorrow with runners at two meetings.

Despite showers being forecast it sounds as if he going will remain good for Hexham and we have three summer ground horses declared.

Arizona Bound has his first try in a chase and while he is wrong at the weights he will gain valuable experience over the Hexham fences and we think that he will make a better chaser than hurdler.

Sky Khan is owned by a group who had Ormello our Swedish National runner from seven years ago. Sky has done them proud at the top level in handicap hurdles and he looks as if he is coming back to form after two good runs this season. He has cheek pieces back on and if he copes with the track he should be very competitive.

Chanceiton was the Northern point to point area joint leading young horse last season and he looks to put his new confidence to good use over fences in the three mile handicap chase. Ridden by his usual partner Cameron Wadge who has just gained his category B amateur license he looks on a fair mark.

Meanwhile, in Sweden BIalco is our runner in the Swedish Champion Hurdle. Run at Stromsholm. the two mile three race necessitates three circuits of a sharp track. Sweden has been very dry and despite the best watering efforts the going is quick which is not quite ideal. Still the scopey grey will try his best for Danish owners Morton and Iben Buskop and  will make a bold bid under Connor O’Farrell.
