Ayr Tomorrow

I think that we will need our wet weather gear for Ayr tomorrow where the forecast is for storms and rain. We have six planned runners.

We start with Chouquette in the mares novice hurdle. A filly with plenty of speed she is best on good going so we will check the ground before she takes her chance. She has been learning to settle and we retain the hood which seemed to help last time.

Next, we have two in the two and a half mile handicap chase: OrionInverness won really well last time at Perth to the delight of his owners Tay Valley Chasers. If the ground tomorrow eases it will suit OrionInverness and he just needs to overcome an eight pound higher mark. The more rain the better for Present Flight and while he has run below par recently, he has plenty of ability and ran well here last season.

Forest Des Aigles was a star for the stable last season, winning three times, and he returns this time having been in good form at home. He has a few nice aims later on in the year.

Rich Coast has been off the track for over two years and returns over a longer than usual trip. He will be fine if the ground gets softer and it is great to have him back on the track.

In the last race our staying chaser of the future, Buddha Scheme will gain valuable experience. Placed in a point to point last spring, he is a big rangy Milan who looks a late maturing type.
