Elmono Second At Musselburgh

Elmono ran a blinder on his first chase start at Musselburgh this afternoon to come a fine second. In a race where accurate jumping was important, he measured his fences accurately and only blundered at the second last. He will improve for today's experience and should be competitive around Musselburgh this winter for his enthusiastic owners Gerry And The Pacemakers (Gerry, Willie, George, Willie, Tony and Doreen)

Max Liebermann was sticky at the start, giving away possibly twenty lengths. We will have to iron out this habit as it costs him valuable energy; his finishing position ten lengths behind the leader was no disgrace and he is a horse with undoubted ability.
