Plenty of rain is forecast and while the official going description at Ayr is good to soft, soft in places it is expected to ease after tonight's storms. We have four runners.
Emissaire is a keen going sort who loves the heavy going. He has come on a huge amount since his Perth run at the end of September as the team here have worked hard on settling him. Related to a top class hurdler in France he has every chance of being a decent young horse for his owners once he learns to settle and race properly.
Pinspot, by comparison, is a straightforward chap who takes his racing well. He was a little green over his hurdles at Perth in the same race as Emissaire, but has since schooled plenty of times and had a minor wind operation.
Mighty Thunder has run two really super races this season and while this may be softer ground than he has been on, he should be fine at the trip and deserves to win a race of this type.
Kilbree Chief looked burly two weeks ago and he is taking time to get fully fit at home following a long lay off. He loves his jumping and should be back in the winners enclosure before long.
Today was a work day and Fraser and Tony were up to watch One For Arthur and Sutton Manor. Arthur and Sutton are photographed last time up with Prince Dundee between them.
