We have four at Musselburgh tomorrow, and we are hoping that a little bit of rain will help ease the already watered ground. Who would have thought it in January?
We start with The Road Home, a course winner last season who has had two runs over fences so far. He is a horse with plenty of scope, and we are hoping that the schooling that he has had recently will improve his jumping on the track. He should be fine over the distance and could run a big race at an each way price.
Urban Kode has been a stalwart for the yard and he has shown that he is no back number the last twice when third. He has a light weight and has won round Musselburgh in the past.
The enigmatic Max Liebermann is stepping up in trip to three miles tomorrow, and having looked to race more sweetly last time he should find the less frenetic pace of the race more to his liking.
Finally, we run the sharp Aurora Thunder whose mares bumper form is looking strong. She should be suited by the track and while she faces two smart rivals she has a nice mares allowance.
