Pre Ayr

A bit of a quiet day at Musselburgh, Aurora Thunder was fourth in the bumper after setting the pace, unfortunately pulling hard. Once the sprint started in the home straight she kept on but could not remain compatitive; tactics will be changed next time. Urban Kode ran his usual game race but was outpaced in the back straight, and Max Liebermann ran more sweetly however the step up to three miles was not his thing. Finally The Road Home led in the novice chase jumping well but was passed at the turn for home and Derek pulled him up when his chance was gone, he is pictured early on in the race.

We are back to Ayr tomorrow with some young horses.

Balydon and Katalystic are both chasers for the future but need to learn a little more before tackling fences. Both look fairly handicaped and if they are sharp enough will run good races.

Lost Frequency and Prince Dundee have their first try over fences in the two mile novice handicap chase. Both probably need further but the dstance will be fine for them on their first chase start.

Deepsand is returning from an absence; he is in fresh form at home and will enjoy being back on the track.

Finally Crumbs runs in the bumper, a well regarded horse at home he has plenty of scope and we will be delighted if he runs well in a hot looking contest.
