Pre Kelso And Goffs UK Sales

After a productive day at home, we are ready for Kelso tomorrow and have a lovely broodmare on her way to the Goffs sales at Doncaster.

Kelso still has good ground and our small team who like those conditions are ready for their outings there.

Mighty Thunder was a good winner last time at Kelso, despite being slowly away in the first half a mile. We have added cheekpieces tomorrow to focus him a little, especially as it is likely to be a generous pace in this higher grade race. Mighty has been progressing nicely at home and should be competitive tomorrow if he sees out the longer distance.

Alizee De Janeiro seems to love it round Kelso and she is back over fences after a hurdle win last time. She has turned in to a really super mare for her owner and she may have more to come on the track.

In the novice hurdle, we run two; Izzy's Champ ran a solid race on debut and he would not want the ground to be too fast, while new recruit Mon Ami Bob has lots of size about him and if he can show ability over hurdles he should make into a better chaser.

Sky Khan ran a super race last time after a break and he seems in good fettle at home. He likes to come off a strong pace and thrives on being held up.

Ciorstaidh left this morning with the Fame And Glory mare Chouquette who is selling tomorrow at the Goffs sales in the mares and foal section. Out of training since December she is nicely let down and with a very strong black type pedigree and some winning brothers; Hells Kitchen and Militarian are both class chasers and with her half brother by Martaline selling for 240k at the Derby Sale last summer, she should breed valuable offspring.

We will be at the sales for the horses in training on Wednesday, this includes a couple of good looking point to pointers. See the catalogue HERE and let us or the OFFICE know if you are interested in purchasing a horse in training.

Hi Kathy, We were really pleased with her price; she made £18,000 and has sold to one of the top studs in Ireland, a super home.
