Five seconds in one day is not ideal but it does at least show that the horses are running consistently well and we are very pleased with a couple of efforts.
Fyfin Patsy gave claims for a decent autumn in front of her when setting the pace and jumping neatly until the winner quickened up past her. A chasing type Patsy will stay further and we were very satisfied with this place on her hurdling debut. There are still two shares for sale in her, she will be a great mare to be involved in and is very highly recommended.
Chanceiton tried his hardest from the front to be caught by a fast finishing mare; he deserves to win again despite creeping up in the handicap.
Mighty Thunder, pictured, was most unlucky to travel so well and to be quickening away from his field when a slip and stumble after two out caused him to lose momentum. He rallied but could not fend off the winner. In the same race, Pinspot delighted us by warming to his task after some extravagant jumps to stay on for fourth. This was a super return to the track after a horrid fall back in March.
Boys On Tour took his chance on softer than ideal ground and tried his socks off once again. He deserves all the success that comes his way.
The yard was very confident that Touchedbyanangel was coming back to form and he ran with great credit, prominent all the way and just hanging left up the home straight to be our fifth second of the day. He is declared for tomorrow and we will see how he is in the morning.
Finally in the bumper Flutter Down was fourth, settling well in his hood and galloping all the way to the line to be closing on the front trio. This was an excellent run for him and he should build on it next time. Last King Of Wales was by comparison keen through the first steadily run mile and paid the price by dropping back in the home straight. He should improve considerably for this run and will find life easier over hurdles.
