Buddha Scheme Wins At Hexham

Buddha Scheme looks to be a much better chaser than a hurdler as he won on his chase debut this afternoon under Derek. Equipped with a visor he was still rather hesitant into the first fence, but warmed to his task and took his opportunity when the market principles blundered away their chances. Having bought him privately from the Irish pointing field he is a strong type by Milan who has taken time to mature and he should be able to go on from here.

Our other seasonal debutantes ran well; OrionInverness has a huge heart and love of the game and he battled back when headed to be a closing second. This run will have sharpened him up and he is back to his most consistent and genuine ways for the Tay Valley Chasers.

We were also pleased with Speak of The Devil; another chasing type he is bemused by hurdles and we have already schooled him over fences in readiness for a novice chase campaign. He can be keen early on but this run was a step forward and he looks a good type for the yard.
