Ready For The Weekend

A busy Friday as we prepare horses for the weekend and do some good pieces with those who race in February.

At Kilduff we welcomed two of the One Team One Dream team who came to watch their five year old Kayf Tara gelding, Max Appeal work on the grass; he worked alongside fellow five year old Bollingerandkrug and the lead horse Miss Batten. The two youngsters galloped away from Miss Batten and we are delighted with them both; we are looking forward to them making their debuts in the next few weeks.

At Arlary we worked Destiny Is All, Well Above Par, A Ladies Milan, OrionInverness, Slainte Mhor and Big River on the woodchip gallop which is riding brillantly after the recent rain.

Down at Sandown Grand Morning had a gentle leg stretch having travelled down from Scotland; pictured. He runs tomorrow in the £100k added handicap hurdle over three miles, and it is great to see the going described as heavy. We were pleased with his seasonal debut when second at Ayr and he carries a light weight tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we find ourselves with three runners all in the same race at Musselburgh; Blooriedotcom, Gemologist and Vinos Choice.

Blooriedotcom is looking to build on his recent track win; this is a tougher contest but he has the look of a progressive young horse.

Gemologist has her first run back after soft palate cautery and with this race she will qualify for the two mile handicap Northern Lights Final.

Vinos Choice makes a long awaited return to the track; if he had a recent run I doubt that he would be the long odds that he is, although realistically it may take him this run to settle back into racing.
