Here We Go Again

After a fabulous treble yesterday (full review to follow) we are back at Perth for the final time this year with eight runners.

Followers of LRR will know that we bought Red Missile at Newmarket August sales just four weeks ago since when he has learned about jumping hurdles and cantering over long distances around the farm. He has some smart flat form and if he translates it to hurdle races he should be competitive in the juvenile hurdle.

We run a lovely four year old in the novice hurdle: Spark Of Madness. Too immature for his juvenile bumper he has been given time and looks as if he will be a chaser in the next few years. Today is his hurdling debut and Perth is a great track to start him on.

We then have three chasers in the two and a half mile chase. Katalystic is a course and distance winner, winning last month and achieving an all time high rpr and subsequently going up in.the handicap. If he can improve again he has a chance. Ain't My Fault ran a rare bad race last time but our team here have worked hard on him and he may find improvement for the step up in trip. Signifiant lacks recent racing and was rusty at Cartmel, eventually pulling up. He has come on since then and is another who may find the longer trip more suitable.

Blooriedotcom has been to the racecourse twice in the past ten days only to be withdrawn so it is third time lucky for him to run. The going should be perfect for him and he seems a more mature horse this season. Vengeur de Guye has run some solid races over hurdles and while two miles may be on the sharp side for him at his age he should be staying on in the finish.

Charmix is stepping up in trip in the three mile chase after some solid runs last season over two and a half miles.
