Buddha Scheme Second At Hexham And Every Horse Every Day..

Buddha Scheme galloped back into form with a solid second place at Hexham over three miles; looking happier throughout the race he jumped better than last season and is turning into a dour stayer for Gerry.

Readysteadybeau had a super debut when fourth; although still very much a work in progress he travelled nicely through the race until the final hill found him out. However, he knuckled down and galloped to the line and he will be a different prospect once he strengthens and matures.

Rivabodiva found the higher grade a little much but she was game throughout and will find easier opportunities in the future.

The good ground at Carlisle prevented us from having runners and the rest of the week has been spent readying some of our horses due to run at the end of the month. There are a busy few days coming up with Carlisle, Kelso and maybe Aintree followed by Ayr, all tracks that we love to target with our young and soft ground horses.

And did you know that every horse every day is turned out in the field? Using individual Horserailed turnout paddocks, the ground staff ensure that each horse has a few hours relaxing and unwinding in the fields. While the mud may be starting, the extra diligence of washing and brushing off is amply met by happy healthy horses. Every horse, every day.
