Vino's Choice Gains A Deserved Win At Musselburgh

Vino's Choice has been most consistent and having finished second on his previous start to a stablemate he finally won this afternoon at Musselburgh. Given a well judged ride by Blair he powered to the front two out and held on by a couple of lengths to gain his win for Two Black Labs. It was a welcome boost for part owner Louis who has been ill recently and would like to thank the Dick Vet for their care.

Gemologist must be due a win soon as she returned to form with a second placing travelling much more sweetly in her first time cheekpieces. She is a model of consistency for her owners the Musselburgh Lunch Club.

Effet Special looked to drop out in the second division of the two mile handicap hurdle but rallied strongly to be second and this was a good effort from him. In the same race Magnum ran a little better to be sixth and he should continue to improve.

In the juvenile Red Missile tried to make all but was passed at the last, finishing third. Hie jumping was slick on just his second hurdle start which bodes well for the future. We were really pleased with Brodick who looked to love the challenge of hurdles and kept on to be fifth. She is fit from the flat and should give the Doddie Weir MND charity My Name'5 Doddie plenty of exposure and earn some prizemoney for it.

Izzy's Champion warmed up for his chase season with a staying on fourth in the three mile hurdle, a race that saw Order Of Thistle run a little better to be sixth. Earlier our novice hurdling debutante Diamond State was seventh staying on at the end of the two mile novice having lost ground with a few slow jumps.

Touchebyanangel did not take to the fences this time, and he may now find a new career having run under par recently. The Tay Valley Chasers will concentrate on their winning winter chaser, OrionInverness who has won twice already this autumn.
