Sammy B had a difficult start to life when his dam died from grass sickness when he was three weeks old. Geoff Brown and Angie Welsh spent many days fostering him onto a Clydesdale mare called Rosie. Once fostered Sammy never looked back and seems to have Rosie's laid back temperament. Like the rest of his family Sammy has been slow to mature but having run well in bumpers, winning at Musselburgh, he won three times over hurdles over three miles. He will be back on the track at the beginning of 2019 and should be very competitive in soft and heavy ground.
