A loose moving well made youngster, who although green ran a solid race on his debut in an Irish point to point to be second to a more experienced horse. The irish point to point website commented ''... he was somewhat green and will make in to a nice type in time.''
In March 2014 we ran him in a maiden point to point at Kelso and he won eased down, having shown both speed and stamina and jumping well.
Superior Command is by Lahib, who was a top class miler for John Dunlop. He has sired both flat and jumps winners including Emma Lavalle's classy Kangaroo Court, a winner of four hurdle races, two chases and two flat races.
Having run with promise in a class three bumper Superior Command ran over hurdles at Perth in April 2014 but unfortunately suffered an injury in the race. He was given lots of time to recover and in 2015/16 he was placed in two novice hurdles before decisively winning on his novice handicap chase debut at Kelso. He followed this win up with a second placing before he was given a good holiday. He returned to work in July 2016 and will be aimed at two mile handicap chases on good to soft and soft ground. He remains unexposed as a chaser and could also return to novice hurdles.
Superior Command was bought at the Doncaster Bloodstock Hennessy Sales at Newbury
