Flylikeaneagle continues to do us proud and he made it 3-4 for the yard with victory at Nottingham on Thursday. Confidently ridden by Oisin Orr, he led on the bridle inside the final 3f and only needed to be kept up to his work to score by ¾ length. He’s thriving on his racing at present and we’ll look to strike again whilst the iron’s hot; he currently holds entries at Ayr and Musselburgh next week.
Our other Flat runner in the past couple of days was Cuban Cigar, who ran a solid race to finish fifth in the opening amateur riders’ handicap at Musselburgh last night. Having moved smoothly into contention, he just couldn’t quite see things out as well as those around him and he’s another who could be out again quickly at Musselburgh next Friday.
Over jumps, Petite Rhapsody fared best of our trio at Perth on Wednesday, claiming third in the 2m4f conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle. Rocco continues to run consistently well and this effort deserves marking up as he was unsuited by the slow pace dropping back in trip. Our two remaining runners, Emirat de Catana and Izzy’s Champion both finished fifth and we’ll look to give them a bit of time before their next outing.
