We enjoyed a fantastic few days at Doncaster’s Goffs UK Spring Store and HIT/PTP Sales and were delighted to come away with eight cracking individuals, comprising three stores and five Irish point to point horses.
Amongst the stores, we came home with a beautiful Bathyrhon filly out of a full-sister to the dual Gold Cup winner Al Boum Photo, a classy grey son of Al Namix and a wonderfully athletic filly by Malinas who is currently for sale.
Our quintet of Irish point purchases, all five-year-olds, look an incredibly strong bunch, with the Dylan Thomas gelding Myretown arguably the most visually impressive point to point winner in the catalogue. We are thrilled he is now within our care, as we are with Snake Roll, who chased home his now stable companion De Legislator at Oldcastle last month. Rattling Road, who bolted up on his second start between the flags, is another noteworthy addition to the string, alongside the strong-staying Loughanmore runner-up Inis Oirr and the dual winning Malinas gelding Serious Operator.
With the exception of Rattling Road, all of these point-to-point recruits are for sale, so please get in touch via the office to find out more about them. Additional details will also be on our For Sale page very shortly so keep your eyes peeled for future updates on how you can get involved in these exciting new arrivals.
On track, we saddled a trio of fourth-place finishers this week, with Blooriedotcom showing up prominently for a long way on his just his second start over fences in the 2m handicap chase at Hexham and Antey offering encouragement for the future on his stable debut in the first of the 2m handicap hurdles at the same track. On the Flat, Engles Rock’s fourth in the apprentice handicap at Ayr was a solid comeback after a short break and this consistent mare will be out again shortly.
