Following the victory of Clearly Crazy at Perth last week, we were on the scoresheet courtesy of another mare at Hexham on Friday when West End Lady made a winning start to her season, taking the opening race on the card by a convincing four lengths. Jumping well – bar a brief error at the fourth last – she relished the step up in trip and should have more to offer as her stamina is drawn out.
There are four shares left in West End Lady; 12.5% costs just £2,500 then £290 per month. This is a progressive mare who has some nice targets this season. Contact the OFFICE soon to reserve your share.
There was also a good return to form from Izzy’s Champion who finished third in the 2m4f handicap chase, Champ just getting worn down on the run-in having looked the likeliest winner climbing the hill for the final time. A flatter track may suit him ideally.
Rivabodiva ran well for a long way in the 3m handicap hurdle and should improve plenty with the run under her belt, but unfortunately Otello Moor failed to make an impact in the novice handicap chase and may now pursue a career in eventing.
